Housekeeping

Housekeeping that runs itself — turnover tasks spawn automatically on checkout, room statuses stay in lockstep with the front desk, and the team works a clear kanban with one-click progress.

4-Column Kanban

Every housekeeping task lives on a four-column kanban — Queued, In-progress, Inspection, Done. Cards show room number, task type (turnover, deep clean, linen change, amenity restock), assignee, SLA timer, and a thumbnail of the room's current status. Drag or click to advance — no forms, no friction.

Auto-Spawned Turnover Tasks

The moment a guest checks out, a turnover task is automatically created and queued for that room — linen change, bathroom clean, amenity restock, minibar check. No supervisor has to remember to assign it; no room is forgotten in the post-checkout rush. The task is assigned to the next available housekeeper by default.

Room Status Sync

Housekeeping status and front-desk status stay in lockstep. When a room moves to Done on the kanban, it becomes Ready to Sell on the availability calendar — instantly. When a room is marked Out of Order by housekeeping, it disappears from saleable inventory everywhere. One source of truth, no manual reconciliation.

SLA Tracking

Each task type has a configurable SLA — turnover in 30 minutes, deep clean in 90, linen change in 15. A countdown timer on each card turns amber at 75% of SLA and red when breached. SLA breaches roll up to the dashboard so the housekeeping manager can intervene before a guest is kept waiting.

Assignee Management

Assign tasks by dragging to a housekeeper's column, or let the auto-assigner balance the load. See each housekeeper's open task count, average completion time, and SLA breach rate. Reassign instantly when someone calls in sick — the entire day's work reshuffles in a click.

Click-to-Advance Workflow

A single click moves a task Queued → In-progress; another click sends it to Inspection; the inspector approves to Done or kicks it back with a note. No long-press menus, no modal dialogs — the workflow moves at the speed of cleaning, not the speed of software.

Inspection & Quality Capture

The Inspection column is where a supervisor signs off on a room before it becomes saleable. Capture checklist items — bathroom clean, linen fresh, amenities stocked, AC working — and attach photos if needed. Fail an item and the task goes back to the housekeeper with a note. Quality becomes auditable, not anecdotal.
